Lamar Lions Club flag in front of Prowers Courthouse gets a “glam-up” with lighting and preparations for memorial bricks

At last….there is light on our beautiful flag.  On Saturday evening, Lions Gordon Guihen, John Davis and Leroy Mauch raised a beautiful new flag that has a 6-month guarantee not to ravel.   The flags have been repaired a couple of times since last September.  Keith Nidey of Electra Pro has been so faithful in getting our lights positioned over the last week.  Kudos to him….he was even working during the 4^th of July parade.   The forms are set for the bricks that will be placed with pioneer families’ and residents’ names of Lamar and Prowers County area.  Hopefully the bricks will start to be placed sometime this week.  We are so proud of this project.  Go out for an ice cream some evening at dark-thirty to share in our community’s pride and patriotism.
