Peggy Lauderdale – February 14, 1944 -May 25, 2026

A memorial celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident Peggy Lauderdale will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 08, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Carlos Torres officiating. Inurnment will follow at the McClave Cemetery in McClave, Colorado. Per Peggy’s wishes there will be no viewing and cremation will take place.

Peggy was born on February 14, 1944 at Fowler, Colorado to Howard W. and Lilliah M. (Robins) Maggart and passed away on May 25, 2026 at the Lamar Estates Nursing Home with her family by her side at the age of 82.

She is preceded in death by, husband Marvin R. Lauderdale, son Melvin Lauderdale, granddaughter Jewell Lauderdale and her parents. Peggy is survived by her daughters Connie (Stanley) Wertz of McClave, CO and Brenda (Michael) Frazzini of Pueblo West, CO, grandchildren Scott (Becky) Wertz, Garrett (Sharleen) Wertz, Mandy (Brock) Sniff, Tiarra Lauderdale, Nakoda (Jenn) Lauderdale and Gaetano (Becca Essary) Frazzini. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Keara Lauderdale, Hannah (Connor) Sniff and Madelynn (Tyler) Wertz, siblings Robert (Karen) Maggart, Linda (Duane) Forbes and Nancy Stanley as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital either direct at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or in care of the funeral home office.
