Mary Frances Forney – December 6, 1945 – April 14, 2026

A Mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar resident Mary Frances Forney will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the St. Francis De Sales/ Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Stephen Olamolu presiding. A Rosary will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting.

Per Mary Frances’ wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no viewing. Mary Frances was born on December 06, 1945 at Falls City, Nebraska to Leonard and Frances (Claus) Schulenberg and passed away on April 14, 2026 at the Weisbrod Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 80.

She is preceded in death by her husband Phillip Forney, her parents, and her brother Lawrence Schulenberg and sister-in-law Pat Schulenberg. Mary Frances is survived by her sons Kevin (Lynea) Forney of Canon City, CO and Craig (Leigh) Forney of Lamar, CO, grandchildren Braden (Rayann), Christian (Destiny), Easton, Quinn, Avery, Kayla (Josh) and Kegan (Brittany), great-grandchildren Ana, Killian, Lincoln, Lilah, Adalynn, Everleigh, Easton and baby Shepherd on the way. She is also survived
by her brother John (Patty) Schulenberg of Savannah, MO, as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
