Ignacio Silvas – September 4, 1934 – April 26, 2026

A graveside memorial service for longtime Granada, Colorado resident, Ignacio Silvas will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada, Colorado. Ignacio was born on September 4, 1934 at San Benito, Texas to Ignacio and Juanita (Urbina) Silvas and passed away on April 26, 2026 at his home in Granada at the age of 91 with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Ignacio “Nachie” Aparicio and siblings Lupe Silvas, Minga Estrada, Petra Diaz and Felipe Silvas. Ignacio is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maria Silvas of the family home in Granada, children James (Maria) Silvas of Pueblo, CO, Gloria Beards of Aurora, CO, Ignacio (Linda Bergara) Silvas, Silvia Aparicio, Carolina Mendez and Rosa Solorzano all of Granada, CO and Tony (Stephanie) Silvas of Port Arthur, TX. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, forty-seven
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
