Lamar Scooter’s Coffee makes generous donation to Cornerstone Resource Center

Dale Willhite, owner of Lamar’s Scooter’s Coffee franchise, along with store manager Amber Hunt, recently presented a $2,500 donation check to Rosie Gomez, Executive Director of The Cornerstone Resource Center in Lamar.  The Cornerstone Resource Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support residents of Southeast Colorado through connections to a wide variety of resources and services, including help with applying for public assistance, offering free life skills and parenting classes, personal finance classes and much more.  Their colorful “Cornerstone Connector” van regularly travels throughout our region distributing diapers and wipes as well as offering their resource services to persons outside Lamar.   They are always grateful for donations – either monetary or in the form of items such as personal hygiene products (toothbrushes/toothpaste, soap, deodorant, hand sanitizer), baby formula, etc.   They are located at 111 W. Scooter’s Coffee is located at 1231 North Main Street in Lamar, having been in this location since 2021, offering specialty coffee drinks and pastries.  Their menu includes hot drinks, iced drinks, smoothies, teas and more, regularly adding delicious and creative new seasonal offerings.
