BBB Committee presents large donation to Lamar Area Hospice and SECCI

The BBB Committee recently presented a check in the amount of $40,000 to the Lamar Area Hospice and Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative (SECCI).  The money was raised from the annual BBB 5K.  These dollars will stay local to directly benefit the hospice’s Good Grief programs and SECCI’s support of local cancer patients.  Over the 13 years the BBB 5K has been held, a total of $254,000 has been raised,  with $206,000 being donated to the Lamar Area Hospice and $48,000 to SECCI.  Jillian Sweet Tinnes is no doubt looking down from heaven with a smile!
