Catherine Ann Buxton – April 28, 1948 — August 10, 2024

A funeral liturgy for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident Catherine Ann Buxton, affectionately known to her family and friends as Cathy, will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. A private family Rite of committal will be held after the service.

Cathy was born on April 28, 1948 at Rawlins, Wyoming to Edward James and Marie Rose (Oberlander) Wallace and passed away at her home with her family by her side at the age of 76.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Cathy is survived by her children Tiffany Buxton and Chris Buxton both of Lamar, CO, her grandchildren Sierra Buxton, Blake Buxton and Cael Buxton and great-granddaughter Mila Lopez all of Lamar, CO. She is also survived by her sister Terri (Vince) Wallace-DeLaura of Aurora, CO, her caretaker and dear friend Jo Estep, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the South East Colorado Cancer Initiative and/or the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
