April 26-28, 2019 The Colorado High School rodeo was hosted in Lamar by the Southeast Colorado All Stars.  There were 5 area rodeo athletes that competed in the weekend event. It was the 2nd rodeo of the spring season.  There are four rodeos in the fall and four in the spring and then a State Finals in Craig in late May to round out the rodeo season.

IN THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION: 

Porter Hall-Springfield

Saturday: 4th place in the chute dogging

Sunday: 5th place in the chute dogging, 8th place in ribbon roping with Maci York  14.4 seconds

Wayttyn Wollert-Wiley

Saturday: 4th place in Pole bending 21.78 seconds, 10th place in Goat tying 12.08 seconds

Sunday: 7th place in Goat tying 11.42 seconds

IN THE HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION:

Wyatt Wollert-Wiley

Saturday: 14th in the Tie Down Roping, Round 1 Boys’ Cutting 2nd place, Round 2 Boys’ Cutting 3rd place

Bianca O’Bryan-Lamar

Saturday: 10th place in Barrel racing 17.0 seconds

Sunday: 10th place in Barrel racing 16.9 seconds

10th place in Breakaway Roping 14.5 seconds

Braxton O’Bryan-Lamar

Friday: Round 1 2nd place in Rifle shoot, Round 2  2nd place Rifle shoot

Saturday: 3rd place in Steer wrestling 11.9 seconds, 6th place in Tie Down Roping 16.0 seconds, 6th place in Team roping with Sage Bader (Kim, CO) 9.08 seconds

Sunday: 5th place in Team roping with Sage Bader 9.8 seconds.
