Honkers at County Line Convenience: Far Right on Front Row – Melissa Bastian

 

The Lamar Honkers group visited three businesses from Wiley this past Friday afternoon, making stops at the County Line Convenience Store, The Butcher Shop and Cornerstone Cafe and Coffee.

County Line Convenience Store at 36020 Highway 287 in Wiley serves area residents and motorists seven days a week with fuel and snacks, plus a kitchen featuring deli sandwiches, pizzas and breakfast items.

Owned by Don Compton, the County Line is open seven days a week from 6am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and closing at 8pm on Sunday. The kitchen closes one hour earlier each night.  Customers can call in for carry-out at 719-336-2441.

The BBQ grill is ready and waiting for you at The Butcher Shop at 211 Main Street in downtown Wiley. Owned and operated by Ben Weber, the Butcher Shop, formerly Tucker’s Grocery from years ago, has been converted into a family friendly restaurant featuring steaks, burgers and a variety of menu items, plus a full bar.  Open Monday through Saturday from noon to 2am, it features Ladies Night every Thursday from 5pm to 7pm, live music and dancing, cornhole competition and a pool table.  Make plans to come out and have a meal and kick up your heels.

Conerstone Café and Coffee in Wiley-Front Row: Troy, Amber and Tanner Settles

The Cornerstone Café and Coffee is owned and operated by Troy and Tanner Settles at 223 Main Street in Wiley. Your family will enjoy the renovated dining area as well as a comprehensive menu.  Open Monday through Thursday from 7am to 2pm and Friday and Saturday from 7am to 8pm, the Cornerstone serves breakfast all day and steak night is every Saturday evening with your choice of a rib-eye or a strip steak right off the grill.  Their menu includes all beverages from beer and wine to your adult favorite.  Select from lots of tasty appetizers and then order a cheeseburger, monte cristo or philly cheese steak sandwich for example, plus wraps and full-meal salads from their complete menu.  Check out their facebook site at cornerstonecafe and coffee in Wiley.
