Roman Ray Alvarez…December 15, 1958 – December 16, 2018

Memorial Mass for Las Animas, Colorado resident Roman Ray Alvarez will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Inurnment will follow in Ft. Lyon National Cemetery. Per Roman’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

Roman Ray Alvarez, Sr. was born December 15, 1958 to Louis Alvarez and Elsie (Martinez) Moreland. He passed away at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. on December 16, 2018 at the age of 60.

He is survived by his sons, Roman Alvarez (Minta Garrison) of Pueblo, CO, Brandon Alvarez (Molly Lareau) of Castle Rock, CO; sister, Janet Alvarez (Jim Miller) of Las Animas, CO; brother, Rick (Louise) Alvarez of Pueblo, CO; 2 grandchildren, Adriana and Ciara Alvarez; step-mother, Frieda Alvarez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Amaya Alvarez; and brother, Louis Alvarez II.
