Felicitas Lucero…October 23, 1927 – December 7, 2018

Graveside Services for Felicitas Lucero will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Colorado with Pastor Paul Floyd officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 am at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.

Felicitas Lucero was born in Torreon, Mexico on October 23, 1927 and passed away on December 7, 2018 in Lamar, Colorado at the age of 91.

Felicitas enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Some of her favorite places were Mexico, Texas, and Cripple Creek.  She loved spending time with all her family, playing bingo, dancing, playing slot machines, cooking with/for her family, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, and collecting souvenirs.  Felicitas was extremely kind, she loved meeting people, and making new friends.  She was very passionate, considerate, wise, and always had the right words to make you feel better.  Her smile could brighten anyone’s day.  “She was everyone’s Grandma.”

Felicitas is survived by her children, Justino Llaca-Ramirez, Maria del Carmen Llaca de Vasquez, Luz Elena Llaca Ornelas of Juarez, Mexico, Manuela Giron, Maria Perez of El Paso, Texas; Bertha A. Gonzales of Rocky Ford, Colorado, Elizabeth Llaca of Ordway, Colorado, and Jose Llaca Ornelas of La Junta, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Jose Llaca Venegas and Fermin Lucero; daughters, Maria David Llaca Ornelas, and Juana Llaca-Ramirez; and sister, Gabriela Ornelas Sanchez.
