Lamar Police Conduct Multiple Drug Arrests

During the past week, officers from the Lamar Police Department have executed multiple search warrants in relation to the distribution and possession of illegal narcotics. During the course of the investigations, officers have seized heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription medications. Officers made multiple arrests during the course of the investigations.
Kyle Monson, 25, of Lamar was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute a schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other related charges. Mr. Monson was held on $75,000 bond.
Amber Russell, 37, of Lamar was arrested for distribution of marijuana to a minor, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana. Ms. Russell was held at the Prowers County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Casey Gehrer, 38, of Lamar was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and related charges. Mr. Gehrer was held on $75,000 bond.
Additional arrests are expected in the cases.
The charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
