The Colorado State Patrol’s Lamar Port of Entry invites you to join in for Harvest Time. During the week of May 28-31, the CSP will be in Kiowa, Prowers and Baca Counties to ensure safety and compliance during harvest season.
The CSP will be in Kiowa County at milepost 193 on Highway 96 on Monday, May 28th from 8am to 3pm; Tuesday, May 29th in Bristol from 8am to 4pm at milepost 99 on Highway 385; Wednesday, May 30th at milepost 433 on Highway 50 in Prowers County from 8am to 6pm and Thursday, May 31st from 9am to 3pm in Springfield at the intersection of Highways 287 and 160.
The CSP will conduct inspections and sell permits needed for the harvest season: This is voluntary and ONLY for vehicles used for agriculture and harvest crews. You are welcome to bring your trucks in to have them inspected. No citations will be issued during these inspections; however, it will provide you a list of repairs that need to be made to that vehicle before putting it on the road during harvest. If you are able to make the needed repairs that day, you are welcome to return and be re-inspected for a CVSA decal.
By taking advantage of this opportunity, you will be helping the CSP to ensure safety on our roadways and in our local communities as well as preventing delays during the busy harvest season. That’s for your participation.
