Merle James “Jim” Blair…November 23, 1929 – April 11, 2018

 

Merle James “Jim” Blair, 88, of Limon, Colorado, passed away on April 11th, 2018 in Lamar, Colorado.

Memorial services will be held at the Limon Community Building on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Minister Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. A private family internment will follow. Per Jim’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Jim was born in Green Valley, Iowa to Oscar Montgomery and Jessie May Jordan Blair on November 23rd, 1929.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Anne Blair; his parents Oscar and Jessie Blair; brothers Frances “Pat” Blair, Kenneth Blair and William Blair; sister Alberta Duffy and his good friends Dick Stephens and Anita Laverne and Orval Johnson.

Jim is survived by his step children, Annette (George) Redmond of Ypsilanti, ND; Bernadette (Tom) Rogers of Erick, OK; Joseph (Jill) King of Limon, Colorado and Patrick (Mary) King of Lamar, Colorado. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and numerous friends and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lamar Area Hospice, 102 West Olive Street, Lamar, Colorado 81052.
