Betty Jean Dipman…September 20, 1945 – April 16, 2018

 

 

Memorial Services for Betty Jean Dipman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, CO. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Per Betty’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.

Betty Jean Dipman was born on September 20, 1945 in WaKeeney, KS to Phillip I. and Florence (Hendricks) Mudd. She was a strong woman, she ran dirt moving equipment in her and her husband’s business (Dipman Terracing) also was head cook, convenience store assistant manager and manager, and was currently employed at The Kit Carson Market which is owned and operated by her daughter. Betty was an avid reader (got her first library card at 3 years old), she also enjoyed to crotchet, sew, and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was happily involved in 2 communities, Kit Carson and Holly. She passed away on April 16, 2018 in Cheyenne Wells, CO at the age of 72.

Betty is survived by her husband, Damon Dipman of Holly, CO; children, Brenda (Randy) Holland of Kit Carson, CO, Dennis Eppley of Del City, OK, Charlotte (Phillip) Montgomery of Alamo, TX, Jeff (Kathy) Dipman of Salina, KS, Mike (Mary Ann) Dipman of Minneapolis, KS, Ramon Dipman of Salina, KS; sisters, Phyllis Winters, Sharon Strobel; brother-in-law, Elden Strobel; grandchildren, Julee (Jeremy Louderback) Reece, Christina Eppley, Josh (Amanda) Holland, Jennifer (Michael) Caddick, Jamie (Cody) Johnson, Jennifer Dipman, Luke Montgomery, Aaron (Augustina) Montgomery, Ruth (John) Hash, Faith (Jon Lim) Montgomery, Stephanie Ellison, Jeremy (Angela) Craig; great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Kaylee Montgomery, Mika, Mariska, and Alexander, Miles Holland, Lincoln Lim, Autumn and Jordan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Mudd; nephew, Ray Allen Winters; niece, Mary Ann Strobel.
