“Growing up on a farm in Colorado shaped the person that I am today. I appreciate so very much all the love and support my home state has shown me while I’ve been pursuing my dreams,” shares Dunn. “I want to give back to the next generation back home, since Colorado has given so much to me. I still carry what I learned as an FFA member in high school with me to this day. I hope raising funds for them will allow the FFA to continue encouraging kids just as the they did for me. I’m also supporting for Colorado Children’s Foundation in an effort to help children and their families going through such scary and challenging experiences, at a precious time of life. I’m proud to be from Colorado and look forward to coming home and putting on one heck of a show for two great causes!”
The Sand and Sage Round-Up PRCA Professional Rodeo will be held Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 with the crowd pleasing BBQ before each rodeo. Saturday night will also feature the 7th Annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink (TETWP) night at the Sand and Sage Round-Up. Since its inception in 2004, TETWP has empowered rodeos and western events in the U.S. and Canada to focus attention on the need for a cure for cancer. To date, the campaign has raised millions of dollars nationwide for cancer charities, much of which stays right in the community. The grassroots movement has inspired other sports communities to mount their own TETWP campaigns, spreading a message of hope and support that reaches beyond the rodeo arena to competitors, families and fans across America.
Presale tickets for the PRCA professional rodeo go on sale on Monday, July 31st through Thursday, August 10th at the Lamar Chamber of Commerce, 109 East Beech from 1:00pm to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday.
