Canyons and Plains Meeting Set for Eads

Canyons & Plains of Southeast Colorado will be holding their Regional meeting in Eads Colorado Thursday April 13 at 10am at the Cobblestone Hotel meeting room. The presentation will be about tourism in Kiowa County, including Jackson Pond and Sand Creek Massacre site.

Canyons & Plains is a heritage tourism development organization. Formed in 2003, C&P serves six counties – Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero, Prowers. The non-profit group promotes visitation and stewardship of the unique historical, natural and cultural assets of southeastern Colorado among residents, state, national and international audiences. Since its formation, C&P has garnered over $1 million in funding for projects in this area.
