Samuel C. Hall…April 12, 1926 – February 6, 2017

A graveside celebration of life for Lamar resident, Samuel C. Hall will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Two Buttes Cemetery in Two Buttes, Colorado with Jacob Kier officiating.

Visitation for Sam will be held from 9:00AM until 12:00PM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Samuel C. Hall was born on April 12, 1926 to Harvey Lane and Celia Mae Hall, at the family homestead southwest of Two Buttes, Colorado. He passed away on February 6, 2017 at his home in Lamar, Colorado with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Kier, his parents, sisters, Erma, Mary, Laura and Joann, brothers, Jim, Harry, Woodrow, John and their spouses, and brother Bill, as well as his mother and father-in-law, Warren and Maggie Marriott, sister-in-law, Joyce Grice, brother’s-in-law, Donald and Larry Marriott and JB Grice.

Sam is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the family home, his children, Samuel L. (Misty) Hall of Arapahoe, OK, Mary Lou (Bill) Myers and Michael L. Hall of Lamar and son-in-law, Don (Robin) Kier of Cassville, MO, grandchildren, Dustin Myers of Visalia, CA, Cody (Ashlei) Myers of Hooker, OK, Jacob and (Vicki) Kier of Kennet, MO, Heidi (Stefan) Scheidler of Piggot, AR, Jessie and Aiden Hall of Arapahoe, OK, Crista Yianakopulos and Amanda Dietrich of McPherson, KS and Jenny Branchcomb of Montrose, CO, twenty-two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sam will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family, his sense of humor and his love of storytelling.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or charity of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
