Funeral services for longtime Holly, Colorado resident, Genevieve “Jenny” Bland will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Holly United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Leathers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Holly Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly.

Genevieve Katherine (Campbell) Bland, affectionately known as Jenny, was born on April 20, 1928 in Hamilton County, Kansas to Roy W. and Augusta (Berndt) Campbell.  She passed away at her home in Holly on November 1, 2016 at the age of 88.

Jenny attended school in Hamilton County, Kansas and Holly High School.  She married Benjamin F. Bland on May 24, 1944 in Syracuse, Kansas.  To this union, were born three sons, LeRoy, Loyal, and Frank.

Jenny was a member of the Holly Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, Tuesday Study Club, and Holly Methodist Ladies.

Jenny is survived by her sons, LeRoy Bland of Holly, CO, Loyal Bland and wife, Peggy of Holly, CO, and Frank Bland and wife, Debbie of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Elma Willour of Wichita, KS, Maxine Shetterly and husband, Harold of Kendall, KS, and Rosalie Richardson and husband, Loyd of Syracuse, KS; sister-in-law, Pat (Campbell) Woodward; two grandchildren, James Bland and wife, Brandi and Nathan Bland; one great grandchild, Izzy Bland; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy W. and Augusta Campbell; husband, Ben F. Bland; infant brother, Roy Campbell; and brother, Wesley Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holly United Methodist Church in care of Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 950, Lamar, CO 81052.
