CSP Seeks Info on Otero Fatal Crash

The Colorado State Patrol investigating a single vehicle crash involving one fatal injury, which occurred on Otero County Road 21, approximately 1 miles south of Otero County Road Y, in Otero County.
A 1990 Nissan Pickup was traveling southbound on Otero County Road 21, when it went off the rightside of the road and collided with a road side. After impact, the Nissan continued southbound, the driver over steered to the left causing the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise. The Nissan came back onto the road and then went off the left side of the road. The Nissan then rolled 1/4 time coming to rest on its right side, facing north.
It’s unknown who was driving the Nissan at the time of the crash, since the driver fled the scene of the crash.
The passenger, a 68-year-old male from Rocky Ford, CO, whose name is being held, pending notification of next of kin, was unrestrained at the time of the crash. He died while on scene of the crash.
