Lamar Police Connect Three Individuals to 12 Burglaries

On Tuesday, July 19, 2016, arrest warrants were issued for three subjects involved in a string of 12 burglaries of storage units and business in Lamar.  Officers of the Lamar Police Department have worked diligently on this case since early June when the burglaries started.

A break in the case came during a traffic stop of a subject. After interviews and follow-ups in the case, probable cause was established to have arrest warrants issued. One individual was charged with two counts of aggravated motor vehicle theft with bond set at $6,000.  Another individual was charged with two counts of 2nd degree burglary and bond was set at $12,000. The third individual was charged with twelve counts of 2nd degree burglary and three counts of theft with a bond set at $25,000.

Two of the three subjects have been arrested. Officers are still trying to locate the third subject in this case.  Every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
