Jacklyn Lee Rife…October 28, 1942 – July 3, 2016

A Celebration of Life for lifelong Prowers County resident, Jackie Rife will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Wiley Community Church with Pastor Mike Schneider officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section alongside her husband, Merlin. Visitation for Jackie will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 with family present from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.

Jackie was born on October 28, 1942, in El Paso, Texas, and passed away on July 3, 2016, at her home in Granada at the age of 73.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Rife, and her parents, Lois Ratzlaff, Robert Ratzlaff, and Raymond Capps.

Jackie is survived by her children, Fred (Jennifer) Rife of Cheyenne, WY, Ed Rife of Colorado Springs, CO, and Merlinda Rife Morrow of Granada. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michaela Rife, Laura, Lindsey, and Leah Rife, and Amanda (Tom Nichols), Carrie, and Lisa Morrow; great-granddaughter Emmalin Rife; sisters Pattie Quinlan, Carolyn (Brent) Rasmussen, and Marilyn (Jerry) Stahn; brothers, Kurt (Michelle) Ratzlaff and Konrad (Kara) Ratzlaff; brother-in-law, J.B. Rife; sister-in-law, Anne Rife; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and a host of friends.
