Stanley Vanderpool…June 4, 1938 – March 29, 2016

A Mass of Christian burial for longtime Bristol resident will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the St. Francis de Sales our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski officiating. A rosary service will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bristol with Deacon Allan Medina reciting.

Per Stanley’s request there will be no visitation.

Stanley was born on June 4, 1938 at Lamar, Colorado to W.M. Alva and Katherine (Moore) Vanderpool and passed away on March 29, 2016 at his home in Bristol.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Kenny Vanderpool; sister, Carolyn Joy Vanderpool and his step-father, Emmett Vanderpool.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Gwen Vanderpool of the family home in Bristol; three sons, Stephen (Beth) Vanderpool of Harker Heights, TX; Marvin (Juanita) Vanderpool of Grand Junction, CO and Raymond (JoAnna) Vanderpool of Bristol; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bristol either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Funeral Home.
