Della B. Alonzo…June 22, 1939 – April 1, 2016

A funeral liturgy service for longtime Lamar resident, Della Alonzo will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Deacon Allan Medina officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

A closed casket visitation for Della will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Della was born on June 22, 1939 at Troy, Colorado to Joe Adriano and Maria Florentina (Bernal) Romero and passed away at Lamar Estates with her family by her side on April 1, 2016 at the age of 76.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank R. Alonzo and her sister Bertha Romero.

Della is survived by her children; Ed Alonzo of Lamar, David Alonzo of Denver, Barbara (Dan) Story of Lamar, Pamela Cabello of Lamar, Andrew (Ron Pummill) Alonzo of Pueblo, Phillip Alonzo of Denver and Debra (Buddy Shoup) Alonzo of Lamar. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Her siblings, Luis (Josie Garcia) Romero, Dan Romero, Betty Ramirez, Hermelinda Romero, Dorothy Garcia, Joan Romero, Gilbert (Maggie) Romero, Mary Griego, Joe Romero and Carolyn Rothermel as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
