Russell Dick Ramos – April 2, 1965 – August 22, 2026

A memorial celebration for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident Russell Ramos will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 05, 2026 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Paul Floyd officiating.

Russell was born on April 2, 1965 at Syracuse, Kansas to Florentino A. and Betty (Ortiz) Ramos and passed away in the comfort of his own home on August 22, 2026 with his family by his side at the age of 61.

Russell attended school in Granada, Colorado before he could complete his education he started a family with his first wife. Russell met his holy sacraments as a Catholic. He made his holy communion and was baptized and was an altar boy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jessica Cruz and siblings Dena Ramos, Elsie Luna, Rudy Medina, Ernie Ramos and Sadie Montes.

Russell is survived by his wife Tanya Ramos of the family home in Lamar, CO, daughter Melissa (Jose) Ramos, son Steven (Taylor) Ramos both of Lamar, CO, siblings Peter (Katie) Ramos and family of Torrance, CA, Esther Ramos and family of Pueblo, CO and Sharon Springs, KS, Martha (Gerald) Ramos and family of Denver, CO, Ralph Ramos and family of Mount Juliet, TN, Porfirio Gonzalez, Jr and family of Granada, CO, Terri (Bob) Gaebel of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by his grandchildren Damien, Cassandra, Adriana, Paula, Miguel, LayLay, Kavik and  Talulah, one great-grandson on the way as well as numerous other family, countless other family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
