It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Dean LeForce a devoted father, son, brother, and cherished friend on June 2, 2026 in Lamar, Colorado. He wasborn on September 18, 1984 in Lamar, Colorado to Randy and Terri (Branom) LeForce. A memorial service will be held on June 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at McClave High School Red Gym.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Above all else Michael was a proud and loving father to his three sons Taylor, Easton, and Brody. They were the center of his world, and he dedicated his life to supporting, encouraging, and loving them. Whether coaching them or cheering from the sidelines, spending time together fishing, or challenging them to a fierce video game battle, he found his greatest joy in being their
dad.
Michael had a gift for supporting others, even in his hardest moments. He loved coaching youth sports and took great pride in helping young athletes build their confidence, character, and teamwork. Coach Mike was a special mentor for so many athletes all over the Valley. Known for his quick wit and warm heart, Mike always had a joke ready to lighten the moment or a snarky comment to rile the crowd. He was a loyal friend who never missed an opportunity to share a story, lend a hand, or wager a bet. Mike had a wild side that offered a multitude of cautionary tales for his nieces and nephews that always had the family laughing. Through the smiles and tears though, he always had a thoughtful heart and a brave face. He was generous and genuine—a man who made others feel valued. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but the memories he created and love he shared will endure.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Randy, and grandparents Lawrence and Donna
(Sniff) Branom. He is survived by his three sons, Taylor, Easton, and Brody, their mother Tausha Woodward; his mother, Terri and stepfather, Shaun Beckett; sisters, Melissa (TJ) Steinbrunn, Michelle (Beau) Portwine, and Anna Beckett; brother, Ian Beckett; grandparents, Eugene and Earline LeForce;
nieces and nephews, Emily Melgoza, Marcus Vigil, Ashlynn, Ryan, Ella, and Logan Steinbrunn, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Michael LeForce Memorial Fund at McClave State Bank or in care of Valley Funeral & Cremation, P.O. Box 950, Lamar, Colorado 81052.
