Per James’ request cremation will take place and there will be no services.

James was born on April 26, 1973 at Lamar, Colorado to James Lee and Melvina Flora (Satterly) Poe and passed away on October 01, 2026 unexpectedly at the age of 53.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sarah Adame and nephew JJ Barrera.

James is survived by his spouse Sharon Poe of the family home in Granada, CO, sisters Susan Poe of Bristol, CO, Jennifer Page of Lamar, CO, Sandra Churchill of Lamar, CO and Melissa (Andrew) Sena of Las Animas, CO and his step-children Lee Hadley and Robbie Hadley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Chasity (Casey) Churchill, Amanda (Miguel) Churchill, Dustin (Rochelle) McMillan, Amy (Travis) Sena, Amber McMillan, Jaycee Sena, Clara McMillan, Jaime Sena and A.J. Churchill, step nephews Brandon (Becca) Barrera and AJ (Johnna) Barrera, as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
