Lamar Scouts BSA Troop 218 and Venture Crew 218 clean up North Gateway Ponds area

On Sunday, July 26, youth and adults from Lamar Scouts BSA Troop 218 and Venture Crew 218 did a clean up at North Gateway Ponds for the Scouting for Clean Waterways initiative. It was very hot, but in 40 minutes around 10 bags of trash were collected from in and around the swimming pond and disposed of. Afterwards the groups rented kayaks and paddleboards from The Aquaholics and cooled off. Please remember to pack out your trash and do a sweep of your area before you leave the ponds!
