Gregory Hays – October 5, 1957 – August 13, 2026

A graveside celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Gregory Hays, affectionately known to his family and friends as Greg will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 17, 2026 at the Fairmount Cemetery with Reverend Kathy Leathers officiating. 

Greg was born on October 05, 1957 at Lamar, Colorado to Darrell “Wayne” and Mildred “Millie” (Blocker) Hays and passed away on August 13, 2026 at the Holly Nursing Care Center at the age of 68.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Greg is survived by his son Josh Hays of Greeley, CO, granddaughter Emalee Hays of Greeley, CO, sisters Sheila (Lyle) Williams of Calumet, OK and Sharla (Jon) Montoya Lamar, CO, nieces and nephews Tyann Conley, Christopher Conley, Andrea (Joey) Lucero, Adam (Summer) Williams and Anna (Michael) Morris. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, one great-great-nephew and one more on the way, cousins, as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home.
