Roger R. Williams – June 14, 1942 – April 17, 2026

Roger R. Williams, 83, of Lincoln, NE passed away surrounded by family on April 17, 2026.  He was born on June 14, 1942, in Taos, New Mexico, to his parents, Hobert and Doris (Harris) Williams.

He will be remembered for his deep love of family, steady patience, and enduring sense of humor. A proud and patriotic man, he found joy in life’s simple moments—camping and fishing trips, music, dancing, and time spent with those he loved. As a grandfather, he was especially cherished, sharing his love of music, cooking together (“never too many cooks in the kitchen”), and creating laughter through games, music, and family traditions. Above all, he loved his family wholeheartedly, and that love will
remain his lasting legacy.

Family members include his wife, Kathryn; children Greg (Kristine) Williams, Tracy (Jeff) Madsen, and Wendy (Marc) Feller; 17 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren; sisters Judy and April (Jim), brother-in-law Tim (Barb) and sister-in-law Ruthie (Bill).  Preceded in death by parents Hobert and Doris Mickey, Stepmom Mozelle Mickey, sister Janie brother-in-law Norm.

Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held, 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street, Lincoln, NE 68510.  Burial then will be held in the Omaha National Cemetery. Visitation with family will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the funeral home.
