Edward Earl Henson – November 18, 1942 – April 15, 2026

A celebration of life memorial service for lifelong Lamar, Colorado resident Edward Earl Henson, affectionately known to his family and friends as Ed, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ray Matteson officiating. Per Ed’s request cremation will take place and there will be no viewing.

Ed was born on November 18, 1942 at Lamar, Colorado to Encell and Dorothy (Smith) Henson and passed away on April 15, 2026 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Nelson Henson and sister and brother-in-law Connie and Clint Wheeler. Ed is survived by his wife Nancy Henson of the family home in Lamar, CO, his daughters Tammy (Ken) Montoya of Lamar, CO and Kelly Henson of Holly, CO, grandchildren Ryan (Misty) Phillips, Eric (Whitney) Henson, Kenneth (Lexi) Montoya, Jr., Kaylen (Tamires) Montoya, Nelson Lane (Alayna) Henson and Michael Wayne Henson and great-grandchildren Rylee Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Tristan Henson, Sage Henson, Grace Montoya, Kyson Montoya, Kenneth Montoya III, Luke Mauch, Ezra Henson, Nolan Henson, Neland Henson, Neil Henson, Brielle Henson and Tinsley Henson. He is also survived by numerous other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife either direct at 2500 South Main Street, Lamar, CO 81052 or in care of the funeral home office. Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
