Lamar High School seniors graduate May 18th at Community Building

ThLamar High School Class of 2025
Lamar High School held its 127th annual commencement on May 18th at the Community Building, graduating 85 students. Of those,five students also received Associates degrees from Lamar Community College – Jason Bosquez, Kimberly Johnson, Aarmandeep Gill, Lucas Martinez, and Nikolas Ybarra. Thirteen were National Honor Society members. While the Lamar High School Band played “Pomp and Circumstance”, the graduates marched in and took their seats. The Invocation was given by senior Tatum Milenski. The Noteables sang the National Anthem. Senior Aiden Estep gave the Benediction.
Lamar High School Principal Greg Eddy, Assistant Principal Chris Medina and Superintendent Dr. Chad Krug presented the honor cords. Scholarship awards were presented by counselors Leigh Forney and Kayla Sailors and Allan Medina presented the Class of 2025. Diplomas were presented by Lamar RE2 School Board President Lanie Meyers-Mireles and Dr. Krug.
Serving as the 2025 Head Boy was Armaandeep Gill and Head Girl was Laura Adeyelu. The class motto was “Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground”, quoted from Theodore Roosevelt. Class colors were orange and black, with the orange tipped white rose the class flower. Valedictorian was Armaandeep Gill and Salutatorian was Kimberly Johnson.
