CSP Investigates Injury Crash near Wiley

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019 (corrected date) at approximately 6:00 PM, the Colorado State Patrol investigated a 2-vehicle crash that occurred on Hwy 287 at Prowers County Rd. NN near Wiley, Colorado.
A 1996 GMC Yukon, driven by 53 year old Barry Mullins of Wiley, CO, and a 2009 Kenworth semi driven by 50 year old Alejandro Guerrero of Fort Worth, TX, were involved. The GMC was stopped facing eastbound at a stop sign on Prowers Rd. NN. The Kenworth was northbound on Hwy 287 when the GMC proceeded from the stop sign and was struck broadside by the Kenworth. A female passenger was ejected from the GMC and sustain serious injuries. The driver of the GMC also sustained serious injuries and is being investigated for being under the influence of alcohol. Neither occupants in the GMC were wearing seatbelts.
