Colorado’s Fall Agritourism Activities Offer Fun for Everyone

Broomfield, Colo. – As the air turns cooler and leaves change color, the Colorado Department of Agriculture offers a wide variety of information and resources to help people across the state experience fun outdoor activities and agriculture this season.

“Fall is a great time to experience Colorado agriculture,” said Wendy White, marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “There’s nothing like getting outside and picking your own pumpkin or strolling through a corn maze.”

Online resources include a list featuring corn mazes across the state as well as harvest festivals and pumpkin patches. The site also lists farmers’ markets, bird watching trails, wineries, breweries, agricultural festivals, ranch vacations and more. Find the complete list of resources at www.coloradoagritourism.com.

Agritourism covers a wide variety of recreational, educational and other leisure activities and services, provided by farmers and ranchers and experienced by consumers who value the activity or service they receive and seek it out.

“In addition to providing families with fall fun, agritourism activities also help farms and ranches diversify their operations,” said White.
