Stolzenberger Awarded 4-H Scholarship

Molly Stolzenburger of Eads

The 2019 Daniel Kasza Memorial 4-H Scholarship was awarded to Molly Stolzenberger of Eads High School. A nine-year 4-H member, Stolzenberger has been a strong role model and mentor for youth in Kiowa County and southeast Colorado.  In 4-H, she focused on leadership and community service activities.  Stolzenberger was responsible for planning and leading the community service project at the 2019 Colorado 4-H Youth Fest where 195 4-H members made goodie bags for foster children or children in need.   Ninety-eight of those bags were given to children in southeast Colorado.  Stolzenberger is currently the District 6 4-H President and on the state officer team.  She held numerous offices in county council and in her 4-H club.  She also serves as chapter and district FFA officer, and class officer at Eads High School.   Stolzenberger will attend Northeastern Junior College, where she will major in early childhood education.

This 4-H scholarship is open to graduating seniors who are 4-H members in Baca, Bent, Crowley, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Otero and Prowers counties. The scholarship is given in memory of Daniel Kasza through many generous donations.   A McClave High School graduate, Kasza was a student at Ft Lewis College at the time of his death in June 2009.  4-H had a major impact on his life as he learned to “Make the Best Better”.
