Letter to the Editor: The Value of a Cross
Barbara Crimond | Nov 05, 2018 | Comments 0
I have been asked for the material value of the 290 crosses constructed and installed in the East Prowers Cemetery District for all the veterans buried in these cemeteries.
My original thought was to give this person the material value of the cross plus labor, paint, and installation of the cross. The price I came up with was about $45.00 per cross.
After more thought, in the eyes of a family, with a deceased veteran, the value of this simple white cross could easily be worth $1,000,000.00. A big thanks to all the support and supporters for this cross project.
