Lamar, CO (September 18, 2018) – The Galaxy Gallery, located at 108 North Main in Lamar, has recently opened to provide a showcase for artists of different styles, media, and visions. The hours are from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday and weekends by appointment.
Vincent Gearhart, one of the gallery curators said, “We are very happy to be able to provide artists of all types in southeast Colorado a location where they can have their artwork available for display to the public and not kept in a closet or storage area someplace.”
Upcoming plans for the gallery include; dedicated artist exhibitions, instructional craft and painting workshops, musical entertainment and more.
The Galaxy Gallery invites emerging and established artists to submit artwork for an opportunity to have their work on display in the Gallery. We are actively searching for new and talented artists in all media and styles to work with and exhibit in the gallery. If you are looking for gallery representation in Southeast Colorado, please submit your art that we may discover your compelling work and present it to the public. The gallery advertises and promotes all represented artists. We look forward to discovering your artwork.
As the road construction continues, there is ample parking in the northwest corner of the big lot behind the building. There is easy access via a marked door at the back of the Gallery.
