Class Enrollment Still Available for September and October

There’s still time to enroll in college courses this fall and Lamar Community College is here to get students started on the track to reaching their educational goals with a full schedule of online courses.

Online courses are offered in 16-week, 10-week, or short six-week long sessions and scholarships are available to fulltime students.

This fall, students can take general education course requirements in Math, English and Literature, History, Science and Humanities or fulfill their degree’s elective needs with offerings in Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Astronomy, Art, Music and Philosophy.

Students are also encouraged to enroll for personal or career enrichment by taking a Marketing, Graphic Design, Economics, Geology, Criminal Justice, Human Nutrition, Business, Accounting, Computer, Early Childhood Education, Communication, Medical Terminology, Foreign Language (French, German, Russian and Spanish), Management or Political Science class.

Online courses help students fit education into their lives by allowing them to take classes at their convenience. Whether they have a 9-5 job, work a rotating and variable schedule, or have physical limitations that prevent them from attending college in a traditional setting, online classes are always available when students need them. With direct access to online course offerings, certificates, associate degree and transfer programs, LCC is ready to meet the demands of its students’ busy lives.

Additionally, many of LCC’s courses are offered as hybrids with a mix of both classroom instruction and online interaction for students who need or want face time with faculty and classmates.

Four online course sessions with a total of more than 300 courses will be offered this fall, and LCC has a session for all students, regardless of when they would like to begin.

LCC’s full semester (16 weeks) session began August 27, with a partial-term (10 week) session starting October 1 and short-term (six weeks) sessions launching on September 10 and October 29.

LCC even offers a $1,000 scholarship each fall and spring semester for full-time students attending classes online. Students must be a Colorado resident, enrolled in a minimum of 12 online course credits, have a designated degree or certificate plan, meet with an academic advisor once per semester, and maintain an overall and semester GPA of at least 2.5 to apply. Additional information and the online application are available at lamarcc.edu/scholarships.
