High Plains Celebrates National Health Center Week

National Health Center Week will be observed August 13th-19th and High Plains Community Health Center is inviting the community to a day touring the facility on Kendall Drive on Tuesday, August 15th at 3pm.

Laurie Dimitt, Vice President of Human Resources with High Plains Community Health Center, invited the Lamar City Council when she made the brief announcement at a recent council meeting. She said the Center and others like it across the country serve the mostly uninsured residents of a community and benefit, to a degree, from federal funding for its operation.  Dimitt said this will be an opportunity for residents to meet the staff and providers, tour the facility and receive information regarding the expansion plans for the pediatric clinic.
