Local VA Needs Volunteer Drivers
The Prowers County Veterans’ Administration office helps veterans get to their out-of-town medical appointments using four vans and volunteer drivers. The City of Lamar has seen slow returns on sales tax revenues since the beginning of the year. February Sales and Use Tax collected in March is down 2.25% from the previous year, showing a decrease of $5,305.36 from the year before. Total collections are also off 1.49%.
