Maria Florez…November 21, 1937 – December 1, 2016

A Mass of Christian Burial for Maria L. Florez will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar, CO.  A rosary/scripture service will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 a.m.  Inurnment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Holly Cemetery.  Visitation for Maria will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO.

Maria Lopez Florez was born on November 21, 1937 in Texas to Christobal and Dominga (Limon) Lopez.  She passed away on December 1, 2016 at Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO at the age of 79.

Maria is survived by her children, Raul (Jessie) Perales of Lamar, CO, Rolando Perales of Holly, CO, Elisa Perales (Robert Losa) of Lamar, CO, Christella Saenz (Roger Garcia) of College Station, TX, and John Joe Lopez of Ordway, CO; nine siblings; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard A. Florez; and six siblings.
