PMC Aids Lamar Community College Students

lamar-community-college-level-ii-nursing-studentsEvery year, the Prowers Medical Center Auxiliary assists several Lamar Community College Level II Nursing students with scholarships. The 2016-2017 year is no different. This year’s recipients are Emerson Andrade, Shawna Daniel, Alyssa Havens, Ashley Roberts, and Crystal Zamarripa.

The PMC Auxiliary raises funds that in turn are given to the hospital to buy new equipment, the LCC Foundation for second level nursing scholarships, and to the Lamar Area Hospice as well as other worthy causes. Its major fundraisers are the PMC Gift Shoppe, fall rummage sale, custom quilting, and its upcoming booth at the LCC Art, Craft, & Food Festival on Saturday, November 12th.  Members will sell homemade noodles, handmade goods, and auxiliary memberships at their booth.
