Wilfred W. Kincade Sr….February 9, 1922 – July 31, 2016

Funeral services for Lamar, CO resident Wilfred Kincade Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO. Pastor Lance Halford will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. to the time of the service at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Wilfred W. Kincade Sr. was born on February 9, 1922 in Maxey, CO to William Kincade and Rosie Farrell. He passed away on July 31, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was 94.

Wilfred had three brothers and three sisters. He married Audrey Pauline McEndree on August 5, 1940. Wilfred attended school in Baca County in Colorado. During his life, he was a cowboy and farmer, helped with construction of John Martin Dam, Eckles Tire, Marx Masters Bakery, and the Climax Molybdenum Mine. Wilfred also served in the Navy from December 15, 1944 to March 15, 1946 when he was discharged as a First Class Seaman. Wilfred and Audrey lived in many places, but they returned to their forever home in Lamar, CO in 1982. Wilfred enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and firewood cutting. He also loved spending time with his extended family. He and Audrey enjoyed spending their weekends at auctions and yard sales. Wilfred was a very humble man with a big heart and a great sense of humor.

Wilfred is survived by his wife, Audrey Kincade of the home; children, Wilfred (Irene) Kincade Jr., Karen Jean (Vernon) Olme, and Jennifer JaDene’ (David) Dougherty; three sisters; two brothers; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents, William Kincade and Rosie Farrell and one brother.
