Community State Bank and Parks and Recreation Staff at Sign Dedication

Representatives from the Community State Bank in Lamar and City of Lamar Parks and Recreation Department, took a few moments from their busy day to formally dedicate the new information sign adjacent to the Lamar Community Building.

The sign, donated by Community State Bank, has been in operation for the past week and more local information has been downloaded into the computer which controls the led screen on the 13 by 14 foot sign.  Scott Reed, President of Community State Bank, said this was a donation which would help serve the community for years to come, “We think this is a good way to give back to the community and serve a useful purpose,” he stated.  Reed commended the work done by contractor Brad Semmens.  “Brad did an amazing job, with an almost perfect match of materials and colors on the sign to the community building construction,” he added.

Kirk Crespin, Community Bank IS/IT Officer, noted that should any of the led lights ever need replacing, it’s a simple procedure to simply pull out one small segment of the led panel and replace it with a new module. “This would only take a few moments to fix and help cut down on any expensive repairs.  We reviewed several models when we decided to donate the sign, and this one was our top selection,” he noted.
