William “Bill” Osborn…July 26, 1930 – May 24, 2016

A memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, William “Bill” Osborn will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Inurnment with full Military Honors will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the auspices of the local V.F.W. and American Legion posts.

Per Bill’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Bill was born on July 26, 1930 at Two Buttes, Colorado to Andy and Maude (Rife) Osborn and passed away on May 24, 2016 at his home in Lamar at the age of 85.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lila Mae Osborn; his parents and his siblings, Mary Jean May, Fred Andrew, Doris LaVina, Merle Joseph, Merna Joan and Linda Fay.

Bill is survived by his children, Robert (Kathy) Osborn of Lamar; Carol (Randy) Musick of Bristol; Carolyn (Lorne) Barr of Wray, CO and Randy (Connie) Osborn of Cheyenne Wells, CO; grandchildren, Chris Osborn, Jeff (Rendi Chick) Osborn, Lindsay (Jordan) Romine, Heather (Jeremy) Burkhart, Noah (Kendra) Musick, Jebb (Sarah) Barr, Zach Barr, Josh (Cory) Barr, Colton and Leah Osborn. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Osborn, Chloe Musick, Lacey Musick, Taylor Burkhart, Cameron Musick, Abby Musick and Everly Romine, siblings, Paula (Ivan) Haddock, Evelyn Tucker, nephew, Doyle (Dawn) Tucker; sisters-in-law, Betty Osborn and Faye Osborn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.   Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
