Two Named as Finalists for Prowers County Judicial Vacancy

The Fifteenth Judicial District Nominating Commission announced Tuesday two candidates for a Prowers County court judgeship created by the retirement of Judge Larry Stutler, effective July 1.
Nominees Richard Chandler and Lane Porter, both of Lamar, were selected in a meeting on May 23 in Lamar. Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from May 24, 2016, within which to appoint one of the nominees as county court judge for Prowers County.
