Janet L. Bennett…August 5, 1944 – May 27, 2016

A celebration of Life memorial service for lifetime Lamar resident, Janet L. Bennett, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday May 31, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar with Ray Matteson of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. A private family in-urnment will take place at a later date.

Janet Bennett was born on August 5, 1944 in Las Animas, Colorado to Raymond Kinder and Mildred Grey-Kinder and departed this life on May 27, 2016 in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 71.

She is preceded in death by her parents; by two sisters – Doris Gailey and Sharon Chambers.

Janet is survived by her husband – Max Bennett of the family home in Lamar; by two children – Justin (Cindy) Bennett of Lamar and Sheila (Michael) Kisner of Ault, CO; by her grandchildren – Shawntel (Justin) Bivens; Callie Bennett; Shay Gore; Trevor Shockley; Ashleigh Kisner; and Tiffany Kisner; by her great grandchildren – Jason Bivens; Riley Kisner; Eli Gore; Taylynn Gore and “Bubbles” on the way; by her sister – Joyce (Wayne) Mathes of Lamar; by his brother – Delbert “Zeke” (Amy) Kinder of Bloomfield, NM as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Southeast Colorado Cancer Initiative either directly or through the funeral home office.
