Dr. John M. Roberts Jr. MD Joins Specialty Clinic Team at PMC

Dr. John M. Roberts Jr., Ophthalmologist will be joining the Providers at the Prowers Medical Center Outpatient Specialty Clinic beginning Thursday, May 26^th.

Dr. Roberts graduated from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2008. He performed his internship at Resurrection Medical Center finishing in 2009 where he was recognized by hospital staff and patients with the honor of Resident of the Quarter.  He completed his training in Ophthalmology from Stroger Hospital of Cook County in 2012.  Dr. Roberts earned his Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Surgery, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Roberts is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and practices comprehensive eye care and surgery services. He specializes in customized cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, and laser assisted procedures.

Based out of the Colorado Eye Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Roberts will bring his expertise to the Outpatient Specialty Clinic located at 301 Kendall Drive on the Prowers Medical Center campus. His first clinic day in Lamar will be on Thursday, May 26, 2016 and he will return on Thursday, June 23, 2016.

Beginning in July, Dr. Roberts will provide an Ophthalmology clinic the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday of each month and will perform surgeries on the 2^nd Wednesday of each month.
