Southeast Area—The Prowers County 4-H Foundation’s annual “March Membership Round-Up” is in full swing.  The Prowers County 4-H Foundation is continually developing new ways to invest in our 4-H future and would like to ask your continued help to become a supporting member.  4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential by working and learning along with advancing knowledge in agriculture, the environment, human health, and well-being with communities creating opportunities for youth and adult volunteers.

The 2016 4-H Foundation board consists of Bert Davis, Tom Salisbury, Cindy Bennett, Rick Robbins, Judy Souders, the Prowers County Commissioners, Lori Peterson-Payne, Nick Weber, Brittany Carrigan, Chad Hart, David Emick, Diane Pool, Lynn Schwartz, Casey Smith, Brian Herrera, Steve Phillips, and Tori Hawks.

Foundation currently provides scholarship opportunities, as well as educational and leadership trips and learning opportunities. Your donation of $25 or more entitles you to become a supporting member.  As an incentive for the local 4-H’ers to become more active with the 4-H Foundation we developed a program with the 4-H clubs to bring in new Foundation members.  For every new 4-H Foundation Member a club signs up, the Foundation will split the first year dues with the club.  This way we all benefit; we gain new members and 4-H clubs benefit as a money making project.

In that regard, we would like to welcome anyone to consider becoming a 2016 supporting member with a donation of $25 or more. If you would like to donate additional money please make a note below.  Please make your check payable to the “Prowers County 4-H Foundation” and send to the noted address with completed form below.  If contacted personally by a 4-H member feel free to give your membership donation to them along with the form. We thank you in advance for your support of the Prowers County 4-H program.

If you know anyone interested in becoming an active member of the Foundation, please feel free to have them contact us, or contact the Extension office. Once again your support is greatly appreciated. The Prowers County 4-H Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and your donation is tax deductible.
