PCDI Annual Business Meeting Set for March 29

Prowers County Development Incorporated will hold a scaled-down annual meeting on Tuesday evening, March 29th at the Rodeway Cow Palace Inn at 7pm.

Traditionally the annual meeting offered a banquet and a featured speaker, but as there is no executive director at this time, it was decided to hold a brief business meeting which will include a vote for four new board members, and perhaps an update from a PUMA, Progressive Urban Management Associates, representative. Prowers County Commissioner, Ron Cook, said at a previous meeting, he’d contact the economic development assessment organization to see if a person would be available that evening who would offer an update on their Prowers County project.

Board members John Marrin, Doug Thrall, Cindy Otto and Aaron Leiker have their terms coming due and their positions are also open to a vote by PCDI general members in the county. It’s not known if those four members will seek re-election at this time.  The deadline to be included in the vote is March 28th.  Carla Scranton, business manager for PCDI, said qualified voters or candidates must be either a business owner or manager in Prowers County.  She can be contacted at 719-336-2384 or email at pcdi@prowerscounty.net. A light buffet of snacks will be provided for the March 29th gathering in the Colorado Room at the Rodeway Cow Palace Inn.
